Here goes Again.....

I was working for National Democratic Institute (NDI), one of the many Election Observation Organizations in Afghanistan as an Election Observer in the 2009 Presidential Elections. Funny thing about it is that the Afghan Government here now calls itself a Democracy, in no other Democratic country in the entire world have I ever heard that there is 41 Presidential Candidates.

If that is not enough you got Candidates that are not known for anything but being cruel commanders of the war in Afghanistan before the International Community set foot on this so called land of the BRAVE, than instead of being listed as war criminals because they killed so many people in this Country, they can Elect themselves to run her again.

You got Uneducated Candidates that cannot even write and wants to be the next President of Afghanistan. I know what you are thinking; you are thinking that this country does not have better people than that Elected or the ones you see. That is not the case, people who really can run this country, do care for the future of Afghanistan and it's People is being put down by the same power hungry warlords that ran this country before. I hear those Warlords stating that “we defended Afghanistan while you fleeted and left the country”. We fleeted because we had no choice; you were killing each other left and right in the name of Faith, Islam and what you called the Holy war. I mean really, what was holy about it? 97 percent of the Afghan Population is Muslims, were Muslims in the time of the war, but everybody that died in the Battlefield fought for god’s purpose, for Islam and went to heaven because they were killed by non-Muslims. The only time they fought the non-Muslims in this country was when Russians were here, even then the weapons and the money for the war came from America. Let’s say it was holy war when Russians invaded Afghanistan, but what happened when they Fleeted? The so called brave leaders of the war started fighting with each other to gain power because they could not stand the OTHER GUY. Millions of people were killed for the Warlords benefit. Almost all the Warlords you face today and every Afghans blames the war on other Countries, but who was pulling the trigger? There is so much more to say here, but that is to be left for another time.

The Parliamentary Elections are coming up and that is what this post is about. It is not so different then the Presidential Elections really, other then there is a lot more Candidates. The one Example of it is Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Kabul has more than 600 candidates for the less than 40 seats, that is over 15 people running for 1 seat.

From candidates who were imprisoned by their own leader in the time of Jihad because they could not get it straight to Candidates that look more like they are advertizing for a beauty contest rather than an Election to retired Police Officer (who does not know what the Police in Afghanistan stand for?!) to Television show hosts, you name it we got it.

I won’t deny that there are people or Candidates amongst these that want to work for the better future of Afghanistan, but the list of those are too short in comparison. It is like throwing a needle into a hay stack.

If we are not talking about their personality or lack of it, we are talking about what they can bring to the table.

It is long known that any promise made to the Afghan people will be broken once the Candidate wins. Not that the Parliament in Afghanistan has had noticeable effect on anything in this country in the last 9 years anyway, but who has? All they will/do think about is how they can pocket AID money that comes in to Afghanistan after they win, how to build the nicest villas in the most expensive neighborhoods of Afghanistan and of course all that you can learn about tricking and stealing off of AID money that is hauled in here from all over the world to be used for Redevelopment.

Who can the poor people of this country trust and vote for that will not put them down or forget about them after he/she is elected?

I am not the happy gun-goon that is telling the Afghan people to pick up weapons and start killing because we cannot get it right, but “think” of a solution that will affect everybody in a good way. Do not vote for Tribe, Race, and money. Vote for the guy who can at least try to help Afghanistan get out of this mess. There are 600 candidates in Kabul and maybe more than 6000 in the entire Afghanistan, but there is at least 1 in every province that will do some amount of good for the people and not for himself. For once in your life, leave your little world and get out there, choose wisely, choose the apple because of the taste result you get not the color it comes with.

For once, lets not follow, lets not listen to his tiring monolog or Slogans, or vote for the Warlord that did nothing but destroy this country and is the reason Afghanistan is in this Situation but vote to/for a better future and the one who can at least try to bring it.

In the end, it is us that matters and that will change the face of Tomorrow by making a Decision, if we make the Decision not to Follow the Criminals of yesterday then they have no choice but to give up.

I hear that your vote may not matter that there will be cheating and/or Election Fraud, but as i said in my other post, it Starts with one "you". you trying to make a difference matters. don't just sit there and watch everything, but be a part of it.

A shout to Afghans. WE ARE COWARDS!!!!!

Afghan Mullah beats up 13 and 14 year girl in a remote village in Ghor Province because they Escaped home. Cause of Escape was that they were married to much older males, old as their Fathers. First of all i Hate all those Afghan Fathers who give there Daughters away for one cause "Money" like they are a burden, Second i would like to kill those perverts who are in there 60's and would like to marry a young girl at 14. This is why i say that we Afghans are not Brave, beating up a 13 or 14 year old girl is not because we are Brave but because we are the most Coward of all. Learn from this, take a listen, a woman is not your fucking Servant, she is not a toy, she is a HUMAN just as you are. Just because they have a lower physical ability to fight you does not mean you can treat them like shit. I HOPE SOMEDAY, SOMEBODY MORE POWERFUL THEN THE FUCKING MULLAH STANDS UP AND BEATS THE CRAP OUT OF THAT FUCKING MORON SO HE CAN REALIZE WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE HUMILIATED PUBLICLY!!

Woman and Afghanistan

For people who read this blog, I appreciate your time. In all honesty I do not know proper writing of English or Dari so I write in both languages. But I will be honest in all my posts and write what is on my mind, what criticism or comments may come off of that is totally up to each individual and their respective ideas about my post.

What I write here might not make any difference to anybody but it is my idea and it starts with one.

A life of Misery for woman in this neck of the woods. Be trapped inside her parent’s house before getting married, get married to a guy you have no idea of what he is like or who he is, and finally be trapped inside the guys house for life...... Call that Justice or Islam?????

For me all my life I have thought about Fairness, what does it mean to be a man or a woman, what is the difference, why is this a male dominated country where woman have no say at all and are told to stay quiet and stay home?

The only difference between a man and woman for me is the physical aspect (weakness) of a woman, man are stronger physically. Other than that woman I think are smarter than man, there is so much a woman can do that man are incapable of. We both have brains, both can think, read, write, speak, and do. But can we both give Birth? You look at my room and it is a trashcan, but out of a 100 you maybe find 1 woman disorganized in their life all over the world.

We as males of the family do not give them a choice in their life, marriage is forced upon them, of course you will find woman in the cities that have a choice or forced their choice on the family but that is a rare case, and most of them get killed for doing so. I had a Facebook post about 2 woman, no girls of 13 and 14 from ghor province that escaped home because they were forced to marry guys 60 or older then that because of money, what kind of a Father are we to our Daughters if we only look for money and happiness for us not for the Girl who has to live her life with an old guy that can give her nothing. they escaped home or what was called home, went to hirat city, was caught by the police but instead of asking them what the reason for escaping home was, and maybe do them a little justice by helping them have a choice, both girls were sent back to the village where they were beaten and humiliated publicly by a “mullah”? Now they have to live their life in misery. These are just 2 girls out of 100’s of 1000’s of woman that have the same case in Afghanistan. There video got out on internet and everybody saw it but nobody not even one of the leaders in Afghanistan who so much talk about female rights and promise people of bringing change in this society of ours. So it is proved that it’s just words of mouth and there are no actions taken. We deprive them of education, why are we blaming it on Taliban? Now that the regime is gone and people in the cities have a fairly normal life, I still see woman deprived of their rights in the Society on a major scale. Every family can make a difference but nobody is trying to change the system. What little we have that do speak is put down by the majority of the Society. Lack of education in the female race is what makes them agree with everything society is forcing upon them.

I for one have a family and care about their lives and want to bring change no matter what, as I said earlier this might not make any difference to anybody out there but it is my idea of life in Afghanistan and am hoping someday we can change that

The First Message

Afghan's have destroyed their past & future with their unrealistic pride and honor, religion does not have an inner existence. People are sacrificed for meaningless Culture and codes.
We afghan’s always take pride and honor for what our ancestors and/or forefathers had achieved in their lifetime, but never think of WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED IN OUR LIFETIME not only as Afghans but as Human beings.
Meaningless Pride & Honor, War, and/or blaming our Neighbors (Neighboring Countries, other People) is not going to help the matter or be the Solution to any problem.
Not only as an Afghan but as a human being that lives in this world, we have to use our own minds, make decisions, NOT LISTEN TO USELESS SLOGANS, MONOLOG PREACHED BY LEADERS WHO HAVE AND STILL ARE DESTROYING OUR LAND AND USING THE PEOPLE OR RELIGION AS A SHEILD.
Simple explanation of that is:
After the Former Soviet Invasion and Retreat from Afghanistan, Civil war started in between different Tribes. This war was not only between Tribes but Families who had been misguided and/or used by Leaders who only fought for money and power. My Question from my fellow countryman and Brothers are that who was an Infidel at that time? Why were we killing each other screaming the same slogan (Allah-u Akbar)?
Anyhow my Focus is not on the Past but what happens with the Future of Afghanistan.
If we as Humans or Afghans want our country to improve, we have to identify and learn from our past mistakes, help each other get out of this Darkness and lead ourselves towards the light.
NO COUNTRY CAN BUILD US, UNLESS WE WANT TO BUILD OURSELVES.
